Toiletry Packs Distributed to YDU Soccer Players

Students participating in Youth Development United’s “Soccer for Success” after-school program at Main Street Elementary in Upland were sent home with toiletry packs this week.

Each kit contained toothpaste, a toothbrush, socks and a few other items including an encouraging note from a donor. “The children were delighted to receive them,” according to Yolanda Jackson, who runs the program at Main Street Elementary. She and her team also regularly coordinate to make donations of diapers, wipes and period supplies from Mitzvah Circle available for Main Street families and others in need in the community. In December, a donation from The Foundry Church provided further relief for families.
