Mitzvah Circle Provides Truckloads of Diapers for Distribution Via Youth Development United
Mitzvah Circle, a Norristown organization that “serves families walking along life’s edge by providing over 100 products including clothing, diapers, new strollers and car seats, toiletries, household items and other necessities,” recently provided a truckload of diapers for Youth Development United to give the families of Eddystone Elementary. In the community of Eddystone, over 80 percent of the children qualify for free or reduced school lunch because of their families’ economic status.
“Being awarded the diapers for our Eddystone families alleviates some of the daily stress that our families are facing during this turbulent time,” commented Eva Signor, guidance counselor at the school.
Chester Upland Youth Soccer Head Coach Titus Robinson made today’s delivery for Youth Development United. He reflected, “To me, it’s all about the journey, to be able to go somewhere, gather items and give them to families in these hard times means the world to me. I am proud to be a part of an amazing program, and am excited for our future endeavors in the community.”
In the coming days, Coach Titus will also be delivering groceries, toys and art supplies to the 42 children registered for Youth Development United’s Spring Break Zoom Camp, during which his soccer sessions will be among the highlights.
Throughout the rest of the year, Youth Development United intends to also help Mitzvah Circle supply diapers to families attending Chester School of the Arts, Main Street Elementary, Stetser Elementary and Widener Partnership Charter School. The organizations have already created the opportunity for Chester Charter Scholars Academy to regularly receive diaper donations, as described in this article.
Youth Development United will always be grateful to The Community’s Foundation for introducing the organization to Mitzvah Circle and providing invaluable support in countless other ways.
