Green Jobs Career Discovery Day Lights the Way
The future needs light, luckily there's light for the future.
During the Green Jobs Career Discovery Day, at Widener University's Kapelski Learning Center, students were able to learn about solar energy. Thanks to the coordination of Ariza Nanji, students and adults in attendance had fun learning. Being able to teach a viable lesson in three different manners that was clear, clever, and entertaining. A testament to the skill and ability of Swarthmore College’s Professor Carr Everbach.
After putting together their own lanterns with small solar panels, students were treated to bring home free sports equipment supplied by Leveling the Playing Field and the Swarthmore College Women's Tennis Team to continue to expand their horizons. But first, Widener's dining hall left no one hungry or unsatisfied. With the waffles and salads being continued favorites.
With special thanks to Good Energy Collaborative, Chester Residents Concern for Quality Living, and Sun East Foundation for all their support: Our children were given another chance for a bright future.
