YDU Receives Community Partnership Award from Chester Upland School District
Youth Development United, along with sister organization Chester Upland Youth Soccer, was honored to receive a Community Partnership Award from Chester Upland School District at its Celebration of Excellence Ceremony this week.
Kelly A. D'Eletto, Assistant Principal at Edgmont Scholars Academy, presented the award and remarked on how the organizations provide valuable experiences for the district’s children in after-school programming as well as on weekends.
Also in attendance were YDU/CUYS supporters and valued CUSD employees Ms. Claudia Averette, Coach LaDontay Bell, Dr. Lavada Greene, Ms. Monique Hales, Ms. Yolanda Jackson, Ms. Darnell Medley, Ms. Shakanda White, Ms. Jody Zamonski, CUSD Receiver Nafis Nichols and CUSD Superintendent Craig Parkinson. Each has been a meaningful ally to the YDU/CUYS program and was graciously celebratory upon hearing news that YDU/CUYS had been selected for this honor.
