CHESTER’S MENTORING INITIATIVE

Our featured speaker was Danielle Miller of Leveling the Playing Field. This organization collects gently used sports and playground equipment, and redistributes it for use in under-served communities. There are opportunities to collect donations, volunteer to sort and inventory the donations, and to pick up donations for use with the youth you serve.
There is a lot of life left in equipment sitting in garages across the community. Donations of any active equipment (sports equipment and playground items) are are welcome, as LPF seeks to engage children of every size and athletic interest to engage in physical activity. Donations are accepted at the Sharon Hill warehouse, in the 22 collection bins placed throughout the area, and through volunteer-led drives.
