Cycling
Increasing access to cycling can have a meaningful positive effect on a community. Cycling is a life sport for all ages, providing ongoing health benefits as well as serving as an environmentally friendly transportation option. A recent Urban Institute report finds that equitable access to quality and reliable transportation is key to advancing racial equity.
It is Youth Development United’s intention to continue increasing access to cycling for the children and families of Chester, Eddystone and Upland. To date, we have tuned and given away 334 donated bicycles, helped create three bike libraries and hosted four Bike Rodeos.
